Permanent laser hair removal
The alexandrite laser is a rare erbium-doped crystal laser that operates in the visible spectral range (red). It is often used in beauty treatments and dermatological applications, such as hair removal or treatment of acne, pigmentation and other skin problems. Alexandrite laser is a popular choice due to its fast pulse duration and high energy, which allows it to effectively treat the skin without causing too much pain or discomfort.
The abbreviation „Nd:YAG“ stands for „neodymium-doped yttrium aluminum garnet“, which describes the material composition of the laser. The Nd:YAG laser operates at a wavelength of 1064 nanometers and can therefore penetrate deep into tissue without damaging it. This makes it a very effective tool for treating skin conditions such as pigment spots, warts and scars, but also for tattoo removal.

It is strongly recommended that the specified intervals are observed, otherwise the optimal growth phase will be missed and a good result cannot be guaranteed.
You should follow growth cycles in permanent hair removal!
Due to the different growth cycles of the hair, the respective sessions take place at an interval of four weeks for facial treatments and approximately six weeks for body hair. As the number of sessions increases, the interval between treatments lengthens, as there is less hair after each session.
Laser light reacts to the melanin (pigment) in the hair and skin. Hair that is as dark as possible (high melanin content) and skin that is as light as possible are optimal for the treatment. Since the skin also contains melanin and this is activated by the sun’s rays (including solariums), we advise protecting the area of skin to be treated from the sun, especially immediately two weeks before and after treatment. This is achieved, for example, through regular use of sunscreens 50+. A possible tan of the skin should have already subsided before permanent hair removal.
The treatment does not require anesthesia, as only minor pain occurs, similar to a short sting. Redness may appear after the treatment. Allergic reactions such as skin redness and follicular edema may also occur very rarely. All skin reactions – including allergic ones – usually disappear after hours or a few days.
Permanent hair removal by laser specifically prevents the hair root cells from forming new hair. However, this process is counteracted by the regeneration of skin and hair root cells of the body. This „repair process“ of the human body varies in different people and can ensure that even after treatment, isolated hairs still grow back.
Due to hormonal fluctuations in the body, increased growth may occur, such as during menopause or pregnancy.
